FAQ's - updated June 2023
1. Do we have to make a campground booking?
No, we don't currently take campground bookings. However as we currently have limited unpowered and over 80 powered sites, we suggest arriving before lunch time or phoning once in town to check availability. Once arriving at the Lodge, please go to reception and we will check you in from there.
2. Is the Fitzroy River Lodge pet friendly?
Not in the motel rooms. Pets are welcome in the campground, though we do require them to be restrained due to the local wildlife.
3. What is there to do in Fitzroy Crossing?
We are between two of the most amazing national parks: Dangghu Gorge, Windjana Gorge, and Tunnel Creek. Not to mention the historic sites around Fitzroy Crossing. We recommend a two night stay to comfortably see everything.
4. Is fuel available?
Yes, we sell both Diesel and Unleaded. Cheapest in town.
Property Details
What are your check in hours?
Officially, you can check in any time from 1400. However, if your room is ready earlier, we are able to check you in from 12.00.
Do you have security?
Our property is not secured with fences or gates. We border the Fitzroy River and Great Northern Highway so it isnt really viable. We DO have security cameras in most areas, and Police do regular patrols. Common sense is advisable when deciding what to leave visible in your car and rooms.
Do you allow pets?
You are more than welcome to bring your pets to our Campground, however we do require them to be on leashes - for both the wildlife and your pets safety.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in our Motel Rooms.
Can we book a Campsite?
We do NOT take bookings for Campsites due to issues with guests. We DO have checkin from 11am for our Campground and you are welcome to choose your site - we do not assign them for you. Our sites vary in size, and we have over 90 Powered Sies, and unlimited Unpowered sites. YOu have access to the Camp Kitchen, amenities block, and our gorgeous pool.
